FEAST (Funding Emerging Art with Sustainable Tactics) is a multi-disciplinary, community-based artist grant.
It is an ingenious project.
Basically, guests pay an entrance fee which guarantees a delicious meal surrounded by interesting creative types just like you. Guests also receive a ballot on which to vote on a variety of proposed artist projects. All proceeds collected go to the winner and this will fund the project to be presented at the next FEAST.
Today was the deadline but it might be ok to send them a proposal if you’ve got one up your sleeve. More the merrier. They are also looking for volunteers. I will be a volunteer.
The first FEAST will be this Saturday the 21st at the Church of the Messiah in Greenpoint.
